Refunds and withdrawal
When you get money back, how to ask for it, and what happens to your access afterwards. As of 18 September 2026.
Who refunds
The seller is Link (§ 1 of the terms): Link takes the payment, issues the invoice — and pays back, to the payment method you paid with. Ask us for a refund by email to support@windingpack.com, with the order number or Link's invoice number, or ask Link directly at link.com. We usually answer within two working days. When the amount shows up with you is decided by your bank or card provider; a few working days is usual.
Withdrawal for consumers
If you buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. The right is against Link as the seller (§ 11 of the terms); you exercise it at Link, or write to us and we pass it on. The formal notice is in the checkout. Two things to know:
Subscription. So that your access starts at once rather than after 14 days, you agree in the checkout that we begin before the withdrawal period ends. If you withdraw after that, you get the amount back, less a proportionate share for the days up to the withdrawal.
Credit. Credit is provided all at once. If you agree in the checkout to the immediate start and confirm that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, it lapses with the provision. Should it still exist in a particular case, we refund unused credit; for credit already used you owe the price.
Businesses have no right of withdrawal; the following sections apply to them.
Cancel rather than refund
You can cancel a subscription at any time to the end of the paid period — in your account or at Link, with no notice period and no reason (§ 5 of the terms). The seats keep working to the end of the paid period and nothing is charged after it; the running period is not refunded pro rata. Before a yearly subscription renews, we remind you by email.
If you missed a renewal, write to us within 14 days of the charge: if the access was not used in the new period, we refund it in full and the subscription ends.
Credit
Credit does not expire. It stays yours even while no subscription is running (§ 6 of the terms). We pay back unused credit when you delete your account — on request, through Link to the original payment method where possible, otherwise by transfer to an account you name. Credit that has been used cannot be refunded: it paid for answers you received.
When something goes wrong on our side
If you paid and got no access, or a payment was charged twice, we refund in full — write to us. For longer outages of the service your statutory rights apply (§ 9 and § 10 of the terms).
After a refund
With the refund, what was refunded ends: refunded seats are closed, refunded credit is taken off the group's balance. If part of it had already been used, the balance can go negative; the assistants then stop until there is credit again. Your workspace and its contents remain as long as your account exists (§ 5 of the terms).
Chargebacks
Please write to us or to Link before you have a payment reversed through your bank or card provider. A refund is done in a few days. A chargeback takes weeks, costs fees, and closes the access at once.
Institutes
Licences for institutions are agreed individually and do not go through Link; what applies to refunds there is in the respective agreement (§ 1 of the terms).
What governs
This page explains in plain words what the terms and Link's terms lay down; it is not a contract of its own. Where they differ, the text of the terms applies and, for the purchase, Link's terms.
The German version of this page is the authoritative one.
